NEWS:

Hill Camp 2026

Hill Camp was an amazing success! We hosted camp at a new location this year, and it was incredible to see everyone come together to make it such a memorable experience.

Not only did we actually get to run in the mountains, but we also enjoyed cooler temperatures, a little rain, and a beautiful sunrise run. It was a great weekend of running, adventure, and building memories together!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the parents and volunteers who made the trip and helped make Hill Camp possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

📸 We’ve included a few pictures below, and you can see even more pictures in the Team App under News → Hill Camp.

Thank you again to everyone who made Hill Camp 2026 such a great success!

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Texas Surge Cross Country is a middle school and high school cross-country program based in Lubbock, Texas, that focuses on developing distance runners through team culture, competitive training, and consistent race experience. We compete in meets across West Texas, and the team provides opportunities for middle and high-school runners to sharpen their endurance, race strategy, and mental toughness. We welcome homeschoolers, charter school athletes, and private school athletes who do not have cross country teams.

Melissa Doss has been the head coach of cross country for 3 years and an assistant coach for 2 years.
